The Huskie Nation Foundation was formed last summer with the goal of building a state of the art athletic facility at Cardinal High School. This fall, HNF hired O Sports to serve as architect for the project. The HNF has also secured 2 major in kind donations from Carter Lumber and Cleveland Plumbing. The projected timeline calls for the completion of a new concession stand and bathroom facility in the spring of 2015 and the installation of an all-weather track and turf field by August 2016. When completed the facility will serve not only middle school and high school students but also Middlefield Recreation programs. We anticipate hosting band shows and other similar events to showcase our musical students. In addition, the facility will be a community resource, and will be available for community members to use for exercise and recreation. We hope to utilize the facility to host OHSAA playoff and tournament games as well, which will bring increased business to our community.
